Much Much Much Excitement!!!

Im going to learn to ride a motorbike! Phill is going to teach me on his..hmmmm, but think I will end up on something a lot less powerful like a moped or such!!! This changing your life lark, is getting more and more exciting. In fact we was having the conversation last night how in ten years time, there should be nothing that we regret or wish we had done. Yeah you can work all the hours, save your pennies but what is it really for? Im spending mine now whilst I can and I tell you it feels great!

A motorbike!! Wow! I'm afraid my limit would be something I could put one foot on and push it along the ground with the other foot, lol.

I was your age nic, when I had a pillion ride down the A1M @ 100mph! Didn't put me off, I was hooked and got a 50cc Yammie within a week or two. I had some laughs learning to ride it I can tell you, including shooting straight off the end of the cycle track at the end of Broadwater Crescent and going down a bank with the bike on top of me, because I accelerated instead of braked! I did laugh, and didn't hurt myself, much to the amusement of my two friends who were running down behind me yelling stop! lol. Took my test in the Old Town too. Presume the cycle paths are still around, and that you can still use a 50cc moped/scooter? You'll love it. My Barry is coming over the weekend to do a trials riding course at a farm here, and I'm going to have a go, can't wait! Don't think I've got the guts to ride on the roads anymore though, not round here anyway, a bit hairy.

Wahoo! Go girl...I had a 'high speed' scooter accident a few years ago (about 10 mph!) I accelerated instead of braked and went into someones front garden. My darling husband, Rob, ran after the scooter to see if it was ok (he'd just sprayed it) and left me in a heap in the grass being watched by a bewildered family having their tea!! Sounds like Jan's experience above!

I've just told my hubby you are going to learn to ride a motorbike. Funny how he ignores me when I share hedgehog news but he piped up 'oooh, tell her I've got a GSXR750 for sale' mmm, bloody typical!!

OC, im much the same, but fighting the fear!!!

Jan, you will have a blast I am sure, the paths are still here, didnt think about them, would be much safer than me on the raod! Think we will look at bikes at the w/e as phill wants a new one, but his will be a lot bigger than the one I end up with!

Ali, you should have another go! Typical man have to agree, hogs they shrug, bikes they listen! Ha ha, think the bike he suggests might be too big for me to start off on, but thanks..
