Whats a suprise????? The moon photos? Well it is a lovely full moon, not sure what you mean anon....
the 2nd one looks very good to me you can see the depth in the craters
I had the same thought last night just getting ready for bed - oh look at the moon - shall I take a photo ? no - too cold and I want my bed...
Yeah, but wasnt as much detail as I would have liked, but the moon apparently is better when not full.
Get out there Martin, it wasnt too cold really especialy if you stand in the doorway :)
Might try again tonight, I was hoping for frost this morning, but never mind.....

I heard that is true also about full moon, although what is best time to take it ? 1/3 ? 1/2 ? 2/3 ?

Nice photos, really clear. Shows what a decent camera can do, if I take one of the moon with mine, it just comes out as a black dot with a yellow ring round it!
And you can keep your clear skies up there thanks, clear skies means cold. I like it warm how it is now, even if it is grey and dreary.

I think its half moon that is meant to look best.
